March: Art Journaling

Week 3: Journaling Whimsical plants, shrubs and stones

We will be exploring simplified outdoor elements and how to paint them in several styles- limited palette, and pen and ink.

Week 4: Journaling abstract collage 

This class is for everyone who has wanted to play beyond the boundaries and rules. It is a step into whimsical abstracts that form a great base for journaling practice. This class is focused on simplified, fun, and creative styles focused on capturing the feeling of a moment you are experiencing.

Week 5: DaVinci Journals

This week students will get to explore journals from a scientific standpoint and illustrate how things work. We will be discussing Davinci’s journals and how he illustrated his thoughts and discoveries.

April: Big Skies

SPRING BREAK APRIL 13- 17th:

No Classes will be held during this break

Week 1: Miniature Skies

In this class we will be exploring color blends and how to create beautiful lighting in our skies. Students can expect gentle instructor led demonstrations as well as plenty of time to create and explore.

This week students will get to map out and design their own larger project. The project will be completed in part 2 so please ensure your student is signed up for both eeks to complete the project

This week students will get to paint and complete their own larger project. The project will be started in part 1 so please ensure your student is signed up for both weeks to complete the project

April: Spring into Art

SPRING BREAK APRIL 13- 17th No Classes will be held during this break

MORNING CLASS GETS THIS SAME CLASS 2 WEEKS IN A ROW (PART 1 and 2)

Week 1 & 2: Sculpted watercolor

MORNING CLASS FEE $50 includes both weeks.

EVENING CLASS FEE $25 for single week

In this class we will be exploring creating a sculpted 3D effect in watercolors. This art will be created using piping and sculpting techniques.

Week 3: Cloudy Days

Come explore the whimsical or moody skies as we learn to paint clouds using several different techniques and processes.

These classes are for artists of all experience levels but designed with beginners in mind. Each class is led by short instructor demonstrations through each step and technique of the entire project.
