Rexburg Cultural Arts manages two unique, historic venues in the City of Rexburg: The Romance Theater and The Tabernacle Civic Center. Both facilities host a variety of community events throughout the year and are also available for private rentals. ROMANCE THEATER - 2 E. Main Street, Rexburg, ID
Prominently located on the corner of Center and Main Streets, the Romance Theater has been at the heart of Downtown Rexburg for over a century. The regal Art-Deco-inspired theater creates a unique ambiance for events of all types and sizes. The auditorium features a stage for performances, backstage dressing rooms, a projector screen, and a new sound system. The open lobby offers a stately hosting area for concessions or catering and can comfortably accommodate up to 50 guests for a seated dinner. The auditorium has a 385-seat capacity.
TABERNACLE CIVIC CENTER - 51 North Center Street, Rexburg, ID
Built in 1911, the Historic Rexburg Tabernacle is an iconic symbol of community. Home to several performing groups, this long-established gathering place features original wood bench seating, a pressed-tin domed ceiling, captivating pipe organ, updated sound system and remarkable acoustics. As an open stage, it does not have concealed wings, however there is access to dressing areas backstage. The auditorium has an 800-seat capacity.

FAQ:
How do I reserve the venue?
Contact Rexburg Cultural Arts Office Manager at arts@rexburg.org or 208-372-2510 to check availability. Schedule a walk-through/contract meeting to outline your event needs. A signed contract and security deposit with a credit card is required to reserve dates. Rental fees must be paid in full at least two weeks prior to the event or the event may be cancelled and security deposit forfeited.
What are my responsibilities as the renter?
· Of your designated group/guests, you are the first person in and the last person to leave the event.
· Event space must be returned to pre-event conditions. Set up and cleaning of your event must be done within the scheduled reservation time.
· You are responsible for any damage to the facility during use.
· You are responsible for monitoring your own guests. (For example, children are not allowed to run freely through the building, climb on seats or jump off the stage.) Violation of this policy may result in a forfeiture of your security deposit.
Can I have food at my event?
If specified in the contract, Romance Theater concessions may be scheduled for your event. Private catering is allowed but food service and consumption are restricted to the lobby. A cleaning fee will be assessed for outside food.
Is alcohol allowed?
No.
Can I decorate?
Free standing displays and tabletop decorations are welcome. Due to the historic nature of the building, attaching anything to the walls, windows, or light fixtures is not allowed. Tape may not be used on any surface. Renter may not move furnishings or fixtures.
Do you have tablecloths?
No. Facilities do not provide tablecloths.
Can I advertise on the marquee?
As part of your rental, you may request that a message be added to the Romance Theater marquee, and a prepared slide be displayed on the lobby monitor. There is no access to the digital marquee located at Main Street and 2nd East.
Can I hire my own tech?
Rexburg Cultural Arts tech staff are required to oversee house A/V equipment. However, if your event requires additional production support, you may contract your own specialists.
What happens if I need additional time, staff support or equipment?
Overages must be approved by the Cultural Arts Office Manager and will be deducted from the security deposit.
When will I receive my deposit/refund?
Refunds will be issued within 2 weeks of a successfully completed event. At renter’s request, security deposits may be carried over and applied to another scheduled event.
